Dear Reader,
Today I received a simple good morning text from a friend:
“We cannot sink so low that God cannot lift us to freedom.”
—John Harrold Good morning 😊
There are moments in life when we feel we have gone too far…
Too far into regret
Too far into mistakes
Too far into ourselves
And in those quiet moments, a question arises:
“Can I still be reached?”
That text brought to mind the words of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland:
“However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed…
I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love.”
Long before those words were spoken, the same truth was written in the Book of Mormon:
“His arm is lengthened out all the day long.”
—2 Nephi 28:32
“He inviteth them all to come unto him…”
—2 Nephi 26:33
Notice the direction.
Not just that we are invited to come…
but that He is already reaching.
Not occasionally.
Not when we deserve it.
But “all the day long.”
In recovery, in faith, and in life, we sometimes believe the distance is ours to overcome.
But these witnesses teach something greater:
The distance has already been crossed.
The message is simple—but not always easy to accept:
You are not too far.
You are not too late.
You are not beyond His reach.
And perhaps today, the only thing left to do…
is not to climb higher—
but simply to look up and take the hand already extended.
